Welcome to Episode #34 of YB2C Live!, the podcast for entrepreneurs, small business owners, and freelancers, brought to you by Your Business Your Brand Creatively, our company that works with the branding, marketing, copywriting, communications, and productivity projects with our clients locally and worldwide.

We record the podcast every Thursday from our studio in the Green Garage Detroit Co-Working Community in Midtown Detroit. Our guests are scheduled using the Acuity Scheduling app (affiliate link thanks!), and the podcast is recorded using the Zoom app. (affiliate link, thanks!).

Our special guest today is Ed Gandia, founder of High Income Business Writing, a copywriting and business consultancy in suburban Atlanta. In this episode, Ed tells us how he started his business first as a part-time gig while he worked his full-time job, and then, moving to copywriting and business consulting full time.

I first found out about Ed in 2010 when I read The Wealthy Freelancer the book he co-authored with two friends, Pete Savage and Steve Slaunwhite. As I always tell Ed, that book changed my professional life. Later, Ed also created a global online program for freelancers called “The International Freelancers Day.” It was through my participation in The International Freelancers Day that I met several fellow social media professionals around the world, many of whom I still count as friends, collaborators, and mentors.

Speaking of mentors, Ed is one of my top online mentors. In this episode, Ed details how he works with clients in his business and how he provides individual and group coaching. Ed is a strong believer in having several streams of additional income and explains how that is different from “passive income,” because you have to be present and work hard to make your additional income streams successful and profitable.

Through his B2BLauncher website and Facebook page, Ed has helped thousands of copywriters and freelance writers since starting his business over ten years ago. In this episode, Ed also describes how he has built his six-figure income while also balancing his business with his home and family, which is very important to him.

I was very honored and excited to have Ed Gandia as my guest for this episode.
