Welcome to Episode #83 of the YB2C Live! Podcast for Entrepreneurs, with our guest, Trevor Twining, a professional and experienced podcast producer and editor from Niagara Falls, Ontario. Just what does a podcast editor and producer do? How can Trevor help you with your podcast?
Please support our sponsor, Your Business Your Brand Creatively: branding, marketing, training, social media, web design, and business coaching.
Trevor has been a freelancer for over twenty years, and besides producing and hosting his own podcasts, he helps other podcasters to use their podcasts to communicate the value of their own businesses to others. He also coaches freelancers to build a more stable income and satisfaction with their freelance journey. Trevor helps freelancers remember and understand why they became freelancers in the first place, and how to break the habit of keeping all of their income opportunities in one basket. Trevor advises his clients to look at their skill sets and prior experience and figure out a plan that leads to more independent and stable.
One thing that Trevor stressed is the importance of making sales and the sales process a priority in your business and marketing efforts. He mentioned that at first, he didn’t work on his sales processes as much as he should have. He also realized that most people don’t have a sales background, but they shouldn’t let that stop them from learning how to sell the value of their products and services.
Trevor says that the most important thing to do with your freelance business, which may or may not include a podcast, is to decide to do things deliberately and to be consistent with your sales, your marketing, and your delivery of your product or service.
